Conventions of Campaigns

What are the conventions of a campaign?
  • Contact Information - across all the different forms of media the same contact information will be found. This means the same phone numbers and website address' so people always know where to go for more information on the campaign
  • A house style- the same colours, fonts and images are used across the different forms of media. This is to make the campaign instantly recognisable so that whether a person sees a leaflet, a billboard sign or an advert in a magazine they know immediately who the campaign is by and what they are campaigning for.
  • Slogans - this is a short phrase that is intended to stick in peoples mind so that whenever they hear or see it they associate it with the campaign.
  • Logo - this is an image but works in the same way as a slogan. The slogan and logo would be on all the different adverts so people are constantly seeing it so that it becomes a recognisable image in their head and they are reminded of the campaign whenever they see it.
  • Name of company - the name of the company who are supporting or running the campaign will also always be featured to inform the public who is behind the campaign and to try and persuade them to research the company and find out more about the company or the campaign.
